Half-brothers Hank and Patrick, joined the Willow Creek Ranch family in 2016 and have been bringing personality, charm, and plenty of laughs to the ranch ever since. These miniature donkeys have worked primarily in our mental health program, where their expressive nature and engaging presence make them especially memorable to clients.

Hank and Patrick are known for their occasional sibling rivalry, balanced by bursts of rambunctious energy, endless curiosity, and undeniable cuteness. Their interactions with each other often provide lighthearted moments, while their inquisitive personalities invite connection and engagement from those around them.

Because of their small size, Hank and Patrick are particularly welcoming for new participants who may feel intimidated by larger equines. They help ease individuals into our programs by offering a less overwhelming, approachable first experience.

Both donkeys absolutely adore ear rubs and affection, and they won’t hesitate to invade your personal space in search of extra attention and scratches.

Did you know? Donkeys can live to be nearly 45 years old, meaning Hank and Patrick will be sharing their joy and companionship at WCR for many years to come.
