Jennifer Kann
Founder, Executive Director

Jennifer has spent half her life in equine services and management, and holds certifications as a PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI), Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL), an Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) facilitator, and an Eagala Equine Specialist. She has pursued continuing education in areas such as traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury, developmental disabilities, and autism, combining her knowledge with her passion for horses.

Jennifer founded Willow Creek Ranch (WCR) in 2007 to serve children and adults with special needs through equine-assisted services. Building on this foundation, she expanded programming in 2014 to include equine-assisted psychotherapy, addressing a growing need for mental health support. She enjoys teaching individuals how to brush, tack, and develop basic riding skills, and has witnessed firsthand the transformative impact horses can have—from helping non-verbal riders communicate to supporting participants in developing coping skills. For Jennifer, the horse is not just a partner, but an essential part of healing, growth, and confidence-building for every participant.
