Mickey joined Willow Creek Ranch in the fall of 2020 and has been an active part of our riding and horsemanship programs. Calm, curious, and steady, he brings a reassuring presence to every lesson. A taller, stocky horse with a gorgeous mane and tail, Mickey is especially well suited for our older, more experienced riders.

Mickey has a brand on his left hip—an outline of an arrowhead with the letters “AP” inside—hinting at a past we are still uncovering. He came to a Wisconsin family from an Oklahoma auction, and while parts of his story remain a mystery, one thing is clear: a bright future awaits him at WCR. We look forward to many more years with this remarkable horse.
